We value volunteer members on our Hospice team; they play an important role providing emotional support and companionship to patients and families. We hire kind people who believe in the hospice philosophy and equip them with the information, tools and skills necessary to be successful hospice volunteers.
Volunteers provide valuable support services including:
- Visiting with patients— talking and listening, reading books, playing games
- Providing emotional support to patients and families
- Running errands and performing office clerical duties
- Educating the community about the benefits of hospice volunteering
